MD HQL Permit Course Plus Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit - Bass Pro Shops, Hanover, MD

MARYLAND RESIDENTS: Participants must take this course prior to purchasing a handgun. Beginner to Advanced level course for MEN and women.

Four hour Maryland Handgun Qualification License Course extensively covers handgun safety, shooting fundamentals, handgun selection, ammunition, holsters and purses, malfunctions, escalation of force and relevant Maryland laws. This course meets the training requirements to submit application for MD HQL Permit for firearm purchase, including required Live-Fire Portion. Also includes instruction and everything needed to apply for a Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit for legal carry in 33+ states (Maryland electronic fingerprinting NOT included).

Live Fire portion of course will be scheduled at On Target Range, Severn Square Shopping Center, 2618 Annapolis Rd, Severn, MD.  This schedule will be discussed during classroom portion to find ideal time for scheduling following the classroom instruction.  *Ammunition Cost and Range Fees not Included.  Required eye and ear protection must be rented at the range or purchased.

NRA Chief Range Safety Officer Course, Charlotte, NC (BIT 1/11/2020)

Requirements:  If you have already completed your BIT you will need to attend Friday only.  BIT scheduled for Saturday, 1/11/2020.  You must also have your RSO rating.

Candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures, Chief Range Safety Officer's roles and responsibilities, range standard operation procedures (SOP), range inspection and range rules, firearms stoppages and malfunctions, range safety briefings, which include emergency procedures.  Candidates can also expect to learn the NRA instructional methods. In addition, candidates will be provided the appropriate lesson plans and course student packets. Candidates take turns working in teams, actually conducting portions of the RSO course to other candidates who portray basic students. NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Course - Charlotte, NC

This course includes everything you need to obtain your NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Certification, including Basic Instructor Training (BIT)

Candidates MUST complete Live-Fire Pre-Qualification prior to taking course.  See below.

**ADDITIONAL PREREQUISITE TO INSTRUCTOR COURSE: NRA BASIC PISTOL INSTRUCTOR LED COURSE.  If you have an issue finding an instructor to take care of this please ask us for assistance.

Course dates: Saturday, January 11th,  8:30am-5:30pm, Sunday, January 12th, 8:30am - 5:30pm.  Pre-qualification is scheduled for Friday, Friday, January 10th from 6:00pm-8:00pm (unless special arrangements are made)

Candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures, basic public speaking skills, training methodology, use of a training team, training aids, course organization, budget considerations, and how to prepare to instruct an initial basic pistol course to individuals with little or no experience. During the course, candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures, basic public speaking skills, training methodology, use of a training team and training aids, organizing a course, building a budget, and finally preparing to teach.  Candidates can also expect to learn the NRA discipline specific instructional methods and evaluating and improving the performance of beginning shooters. In addition, candidates will be provided the appropriate lesson plans and basic course student packets. Candidates take turns working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Course - + Florida Option - Chadds Ford, PA

Participants are highly encouraged to take this course prior to purchasing a handgun. Beginner to Advanced level course for men and women.

Our 4 hour all-classroom based concealed firearm permit course extensively covers handgun safety, shooting fundamentals, handgun selection, ammunition, holsters, malfunctions, escalation of force and a comprehensive legal review. The instruction to apply for a PA/DE Concealed Handgun Permit is included.  This course also fulfills requirements to submit application for a Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit, which has reciprocity with 30+ states.  *Florida can be added to this course with additional live fire session and additional fee.

This course does not include live fire, you DO NOT need a firearm to attend this class. We highly encourage our students to also schedule personalized range instruction after attending this course to apply principles and develop their use of fundamentals and safety training.

Utah is a highly coveted permit because they have reciprocity with the most states. Course is taught by NRA Certified & Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification Certified Firearms Instructors.

During the course, candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures, basic public speaking skills, training methodology, use of a training team and training aids, organizing a course, building a budget, and finally preparing to teach.  Candidates can also expect to learn the NRA discipline specific instructional methods and evaluating and improving the performance of beginning shooters. In addition, candidates will be provided the appropriate lesson plans and basic course student packets. Candidates take turns working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Training Counselors will evaluate candidates' performance based on their ability to handle the firearms with confidence, use of appropriate training aids, following the lesson plans and meeting all learning objectives, while utilizing the teaching philosophies expected of NRA Certified Instructors. 

All course participants must pass a NRA Pistol Instructor Pre-Qualification, which will take place on Friday, March 20.   Range location same as clssroom.

NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Course - Mclean, VA

This course includes everything you need to obtain your NRA Certified Pistol Instructor Certification, including Basic Instructor Training (BIT)

**ADDITIONAL PREREQUISITE TO INSTRUCTOR COURSE: NRA BASIC PISTOL INSTRUCTOR LED COURSE.  If you have an issue finding an instructor to take care of this please ask us for assistance.

Course dates: Saturday, April 4,  9:00am-6:00pm, Sunday, April 5, 9:00am - 6:00pm.  

Pre-qualification is scheduled for Friday, April 3rd from 6:00pm-8:00pm (unless special arrangements are made)
